Delete Bad Credit Quick, We’re Buying A Home!

Hi,  I have a question, my boy friend and I are looking to purchase a home. I ran my credit report and found a few collections and 2 charge offs. Can charge offs be removed for payment? Do you know how to go about requesting a letter of deletion for payment? I know by mail is best , but do you know what to say to make this happen. Thank you so much, Amber

Hello Amber,

It is improbable that the original creditor would agree to delete their tradeline for payment.  Collections, on the other hand, are a different story.  If you are in a rush to buy a home then negotiating a ‘pay for delete’ on any collections might be your best strategy.  Your loan officer can do a rapid rescore to update the collection agencies removal and boost your credit score in 3-5 days.  All you need to do is to get him/her the collection agency’s letter requesting deletion.
