Delete Collection Upon Payment
I have an old tel’ bill reporting on Exp & Equifax.
I believe the a/c first became delinq. ie payment was due but never paid on 10/23/03. The Coll Agy. are reporting on Eq. 1st DOD as 4/04. & Expshows D of status, 12/07, D opened 11/07 etc. Though the SOL has expired I believe (in CA), is there any way I can get this deleted?, as I am seeking financing and this creating problems.
Also I’ve tried to dispute twice w/ CRAs they keep reporting verified. and I just received a copy of a printout of a bill, showing some billing in 2/2004 with a final amount of $180. so I cant claim they violated s 809(b) FDCPA. What do you suggest.
PS LOve all the info on the website!

Hi Susie,
Experian likes to give the consumer a nice new updated date of status in response to a dispute. Anyways, it sounds like the account is yours and the amount is correct. The solution may be a pay for delete.
Thanks for the questions and hope this helps.
