FICO Scores range from 300 to 850

Each of the three credit bureaus has its own version of FICO Scores that generally range between 300 and 850.  Equifax uses a BEACON, TransUnion has an EMPIRICA, and Experian names its the Experian/Fair Isaac Risk Model. 

According to Fair Isaac and Company the following data represents the National Distribution of FICO Scores:

800 or higher…………….13%

750 to 799…………………27%

700 to 749…………………18%

650 to 699…………………15%

600 to 649…………………12%

550 to 599………………….8%

500 to 549………………….5%

499 or below………………2%
