There’s a right way to do a short sale and a wrong way

Here’s a case study on one property with a partial release short sale and a full release short sale.  Let me tell you, this was a loss mitigation fight!

November 29, 2007 mortgage lender offers a Partial Release and wants homeowner to sign a promissory note for the deficiency.

January 31, 2008 my short sale expert gets the homeowner a Full Release with no deficiency and no balance reporting on the forgiven debt.
