The Phantom of the Mortgage

I have a phantom loan with Countrwide. I never closed escrow, they show the loan somewhere on my credit; they contact me to refi.
How do I get the loan off my credit history?

Hi Jackie,

Send a certified mail return receipt requested (CMRRR) dispute to the credit reporting agency (CRA) and advise them that they are reporting a bogus tradeline.  Each time they falsely verify the account, you have a separate violation that is actionable under FCRA 1681s-2(b).

Thanks for the questions and hope this helps.
